……..Mandala (Fig. 42), painted by Juanishi Orosco, illustrates man’s spiritual connection with the earth. Stalks of maize and cultivated fields correlate with the grapevine stump of Farmworker Family of the adjacent pylon. Above the maize rises a nude couple whose entwined bodies form an ollin, an Aztec knot symbolizing movement. From the red void between their bodies, a diamond-shaped eye-of-god pulsates in shades of blue. Above all is a flaming mandala, composed of four black huelga eagles within a band of rainbow colors, emitting rays of spiritual light.
